There are no recorded instances of banks blocking payments for large purchases made by Russians on marketplaces, TASS was told by the press service of the merged company Wildberries&Russ. All operations are proceeding as normal.
The company emphasized that the information about payment blocking is not true. Earlier, the media reported that Russians are facing restrictions on large purchases, which is due to banks strengthening fraud monitoring.
The press service of Ozon, in turn, clarified that isolated cases of blocking may occur by decision of banks. At the same time, there are no technical failures on the marketplace side, and for a payment to be made, the client only needs to confirm the operation in their bank.
