At the end of 2025, Russian telecom operators will receive the first thousand domestically produced base stations. They will begin to be installed on the network in early 2026. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, Maksut Shadayev, in an interview with Marina Kim for the "New World" project.
We are already shipping Russian base stations to major operators this year. They will be at the end of the year, there will be a thousand first 4G and 5G ready base stations shipped to all our major Russian operators, and from next year they will start putting them on the network.
In Russia, base stations are produced by Irteya, Bulat, Spektr and Yadro.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the government plans that by 2029 all base stations of telecom operators operating according to GSM, LTE and 5G standards, will be produced in Russia. However, the Ministry of Digital Development is still adhering to the previously established deadlines for LTE equipment, which is planned to be completely replaced from 2028. At the same time, the criteria by which equipment will be considered Russian have not yet been determined.
