The Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed a new procedure for evaluating the effectiveness of driving schools

The changes will help Russians make more informed choices about where to learn to drive

A new procedure for evaluating the effectiveness of driving schools will appear in Russia. The basis for forming indicators will be the results of exams. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In addition, educational institutions will be evaluated based on the accident rate among their graduates with less than two years of driving experience.

The list of criteria and the frequency of evaluation will be approved by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia later — by the relevant legal act. These changes will help citizens to be more aware when choosing driving schools for driving training.

The Deputy Head of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Oleg Ponaryin, emphasized the need to strengthen control over driving schools. He expressed concern that many educational institutions have begun to actively use distance learning. Candidates for drivers learn to solve standard tasks, but this does not compensate for the lack of practical skills and orientation in real road conditions, according to a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
