"Destroys in a minute": How the hypersonic "Oreshnik" hits targets

Lukashenko revealed details of the first use of the Russian MRBM

The Russian medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) "Oreshnik" is capable of destroying targets in just one minute. This was stated by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

He referred to the experience of the first use of "Oreshnik" in November 2024 and noted that the designated target was gone "in one minute".

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced in the last days of 2025 that the first unitequipped with the "Oreshnik" system had taken up combat duty in Belarus.

Military expert Viktor Litovkin explained that the warheads of "Oreshnik" are capable of hitting targetsat a depth of up to 30 meters.

It should be noted that a colossal amount of heat (up to 4000 °C) is released during the impact of "Oreshnik", which is comparable to the temperature on the surface of the Sun and further destroys the structure of the target.

At the same time, the United States has GBU-57A/B bombs that can penetrate even 60 meters of reinforced concrete. However, these munitions are only used with bombers, and air superiority is required for their use, while "Oreshnik" is a mobile ground system. The vehicles of this complex werefirst shown on video.
