Specialists of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) have inspected the Prirazlomnaya offshore ice-resistant stationary platform (OIRSP). The documents were issued to a representative of Gazprom Neft Shelf, the register's press service reported.
In 2025, it will be 10 years since the register issued classification documents for the marine facility.
Following the inspection, the specialists confirmed that the platform and the equipment on it meet the safety requirements for the KE⍟ AUT2 FOP (gravity, ice-resistant) class.
About OIRSP "Prirazlomnaya"
The ice-resistant oil platform is the only one in the country that operates on the Arctic shelf (the same-named field in the Barents Sea). The Prirazlomnaya OIRSP provides well drilling, processing, storage and offloading of hydrocarbons to tankers for subsequent transportation to oil refineries.
The platform was built at the facilities of Sevmash (Severodvinsk) in 2011. It was put into operation by a subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom Neft.
