Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law amending the law "On State Control (Supervision) and Municipal Control in the Russian Federation" and expanding the possibilities for conducting inspections using digital technologies, according to the official legal acts portal.
The law aims to reduce the administrative burden on controlled organizations, including socially oriented non-profit ones, by increasing the efficiency of control through the introduction of digital technologies and the expansion of the functions of the "Inspector" mobile application.
Among the innovations is the expansion of the scope of electronic document management and remote forms of control, as well as the improvement of the risk management system. The law provides for the possibility of conducting on-site inspections using unmanned aerial vehicles.
If violations are detected using drones, control bodies will be able to make a decision on conducting a control measure. This is especially relevant for land control tasks and the detection of unauthorized landfills.
Thus, the law promotes more technological and efficient control over compliance with legislation while minimizing direct administrative intervention.
