The Ministry of Construction has developed a new GOST R standard — "Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Construction, Used for Geodetic Works. General Requirements." This document is designed to unify modern methods of geodetic works in construction, including engineering and geodetic surveys using UAVs.
The document covers unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) that are used in construction for performing and verifying geodetic tasks, including engineering and geodetic surveys. It establishes uniform requirements for the classification of UAS, types of their application, technical equipment, work procedures, and accuracy assessment of data. GOST provides for safety measures during the operation of drones.
According to the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Irek Fayzullin, the use of UAS allows for obtaining more accurate and detailed data, as well as quickly surveying large areas and working in areas with complex terrain. In the future, the use of UAVs for engineering and geodetic surveys will reduce the time and cost of construction by up to 10% in the implementation of investment and construction projects.
