The "Reshetnev" company, part of Roscosmos, has entered into agreements with FSUE "Cosmic Communications" for the design and manufacture of four new telecommunications satellites. The contract amount reaches 65.95 billion rubles. All devices are planned to be created by 2029. Their service life in orbit will be 15 years.
The satellites are designed to update the national orbital communication group. They will provide television and radio broadcasting, access to broadband internet, and multimedia data transmission. The project aims to increase the reliability and bandwidth of the country's satellite infrastructure.
The General Director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov, positively assessed the signing of the agreement.
The first stage of a very important work, which our enterprise "Reshetnev" has already started. Thanks to it, tens of millions of people in the country are provided with satellite television and the Internet, in addition, our devices provide communication for air transport and sea vessels, and perform other tasks in the field of telecommunications.
