Russia to Deploy Orbital Grouping of 300 Satellites for the First Time

The first serial launch of devices will take place at the end of 2025

Russia is launching mass production of satellites. One of the telecom operators plans to create an orbital constellation with a record number of devices, Roscosmos head Dmitry Bakanov said at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The head of the department noted that previously "groupings of more than 300 spacecraft have not yet been created by the Russian Federation." He also said that the state corporation is counting on the arrival of private investors in the field of remote sensing of the planet.

Russia also has relevant technologies. One of the operators is deploying a grouping of more than 300 devices. And at the end of this year, there will also be the first serial launch.
