Avtotor-Avtotrans, part of the Avtotor holding, has successfully registered a Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for the Deepal S07 hybrid hatchback. It will be assembled at the plant in Kaliningrad.
The hatchback has five doors, rear-wheel drive, and a length of 4750 mm, and is equipped with a combined series-type power plant. A 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a power of 90 hp is used as a generator, which provides charging for a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 87 A⋅h.
The car is propelled by a single electric motor, the power of which, according to the OTTS, is 75 kW. However, Changan, the owner of the Deepal brand, indicates that its power is 175 kW. It is likely that an error occurred in the certification documents, or the power was intentionally underestimated.
The new product will be produced directly in Kaliningrad at the Avtotor plant.
