A new Russian train of the Moskva-2026 series has been launched in the Moscow metro. According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the train has entered the Zamoskvoretskaya line and is already available to passengers. The maximum capacity of the new train has been increased by 10%, and the width of the doors has increased by 32%, which improves boarding and disembarking.
According to Sobyanin, Moskva-2026 has retained all the advantages of the previous series: powerful air conditioning systems, convenient inter-car passages and adaptive lighting.
In addition, the new train has an increased glazing area on the handrails of the entrance group, updated "passenger-driver" communication units and a rear-view camera.
The seats are made without metal joints, and the number of air ducts in the ceiling for air conditioning has increased, which increases comfort inside the car.
The train underwent a test run without passengers, and specialists checked every detail before entering the line. Sobyanin emphasized that the train is made entirely of domestic components. New lighting in the head section and high-tech systems make Moskva-2026 one of the most modern metro cars in the world.
