In 2025, the Russian Navy (Navy) was replenished with new submarines, including the strategic missile carrier K-555 "Knyaz Pozharsky", and 19 surface ships. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin, speaking at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The head of state also recalled the successful tests of the Burevestnik strategic cruise missile of unlimited range and the Poseidon unmanned underwater vehicle.
According to him, thanks to the nuclear power plant, these complexes will be the only ones of their kind for a long time. The presence of such a unique weapon will ensure the country's security and strengthen its position at the world level, Putin added.
We will continue to work on these complexes, we will continue to refine them, improve them, but they already exist.
About the submarine "Knyaz Pozharsky"
The atomic submarine cruiser of project 955A "Borey-A" belongs to the 4th generation. The submarine with advanced weapons joined the Northern Fleet in the summer of 2025. The submarine carries 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles "Bulava" (R-30) on board.
