A presentation of future K5 generation models was held in Naberezhnye Chelny — including the KAMAZ-53252 chassis and gas-powered tractors

A presentation of automotive equipment took place at the Scientific and Technical Center (STC) of PJSC "KAMAZ" in Naberezhnye Chelny, during which members of the board of directors not only got acquainted with the new products, but also personally tested them in motion. Among the participants were Sergey Chemezov, General Director of the Rostec State Corporation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of KAMAZ, Alexey Pesoshin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ, Nail Magdeev, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny, and other executives.

Particular attention was drawn to the KAMAZ-53252 (4×2) chassis — a new model of the K5 generation, which is scheduled to be launched on the market in 2026. It is planned to complete certification tests and obtain type approval as early as the first quarter of next year. The equipment is designed for the installation of specialized superstructures, including isothermal vans. The participants of the event personally evaluated the car in motion: it is distinguished by a cab with a lowered floor tunnel (only 320 mm), which ensures the minimum overall height of the chassis, and an environmentally friendly KAMAZ-667 engine with a capacity of 310 hp (Euro-5) is installed under the hood.

In total, the exhibition presented 28 units of equipment, including the flagship KAMAZ-54901 and KAMAZ-54902 tractors, gas-powered versions on compressed natural gas (CNG), all-wheel drive models KAMAZ-65954 (6×6) and KAMAZ-65959 (6×6), as well as electric buses, city buses, special equipment for the forestry and mining industries, Moskvich passenger cars and the Atom electric car — all of them were available for a test drive.

KAMAZ-54901 on CNG, the serial production of which started in December 2025, also aroused interest. The tractor is equipped with eight gas cylinders of 123 liters each. This allows it to travel up to 550 kilometers. This car is ideal for routes up to 500 kilometers long, which account for about 40% of the fleet of long-haul tractors in Russia. According to the company, the cost of ownership of this model is minimal in the class: thanks to the lower price of CNG (10–15% cheaper than LNG) and the lack of need for cryogenic infrastructure, the gas-powered tractor is favorably different from its counterparts.
