More "RAM" than a Laptop: New Network Card Created by Graviton

The SNC-QSFP2-SH01 card allows optimizing the operation of servers and information security systems

The company "Graviton" has announced the release of a new product — the SNC-QSFP2-SH01 Smart NIC (Smart Network Interface Card). This was reported in the manufacturer's press service.

The new product connects via PCIe Gen 3 x8 (PCI Express (PCIe) interface configuration, supports 8 data lanes) and may be included in the register of Russian electronics in 2026.

We offer the market a powerful tool that will help optimize the operation of cloud services and information security systems, freeing up CPU resources for application tasks.
Khiyas Aydemirov, Head of Research and Development Department at "Graviton"

The card is based on programmable logic with more than a million cells and built-in block memory of over 50 Mbit. The developers call the adapter "intelligent" because it takes on network processing and unloads the central processor.

The main feature of the SNC-QSFP2-SH01 is the SODIMM slot (a format used in laptops). The card supports one DDR4 module with a capacity of up to 32 GB. This approach allows processing network traffic directly on the board itself.

Instead of the usual RJ45 connectors, the model has two QSFP28 ports. Each of them works with four channels of 25 Gbit/s, which gives up to 100 Gbit/s per connector. The adapter is designed to work with fiber optics — it does not need twisted pair.

The manufacturer declares support for Windows Server and Linux.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the MIPT introduced the first Russian maskless optical lithograph for chips.
