Dolina Effect: Hotline to verify calls from banks proposed to be launched in the State Duma

Deputies: This way Russians will be able to protect themselves from fraud

Deputies from the "New People" faction in the State Duma have proposed creating a unified hotline to verify information about calls from banks and various departments. This was announced by Deputy Speaker of the State Duma, Vladislav Davankov.

According to him, citizens need a quick way to verify who is calling them. This is important to prevent the theft of money before fraudsters can carry out transactions, similar to the incident with the famous singer Larisa Dolina. She fell victim to attackers posing as employees of Rosfinmonitoring.

If a person has suspicions about an incoming call, they can quickly contact the hotline. This will reduce the likelihood of financial losses and increase the level of security.

The developers of the idea hope that the hotline will start functioning in the near future, as protecting citizens from fraud is becoming a priority.

You take the full name, department, position, and application number, put the call on hold, and dial the hotline yourself. There they confirm that such an employee is indeed dealing with you. If not, it's fraudsters.
