«Burevestnik» tested successfully: the train made its first trip from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod

The locomotive can carry over 730 passengers per trip

From December 3 of the new year, the high-speed double-decker train «Burevestnik», which has undergone successful testing, will begin running on the route between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported in the press service of the company «Russian Railways» (RZD).

As part of the tests, not only the running gear of the train was checked, but also the operability of all its engineering systems.

Specialists also tested the operation of life support systems of the cars. This made it possible to assess their readiness to receive passengers.

The first locomotive was launched from the Yaroslavl station in Moscow at 10:05, it arrived in Nizhny Novgorod according to schedule.

The train will consist of ten modern double-decker cars with seats of standard and improved layout. It will also include a compartment staff car, a sleeping car and a bistro car. «Burevestnik» will be able to carry over 730 passengers per trip.

Earlier www1.ru reported that double-decker cars for the «Burevestnik» train received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the Customs Union.
