In Russia, the transition to the actual use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the scientific field has taken place. This was announced by Anna Lemyakina, Director for Strategic and National Projects at Yandex Cloud, at the V Congress of Young Scientists in Sirius.
Although there are no exact statistics in Russia on how many scientists use AI-based services daily, we see from conferences, publication activity, grant applications, and consumption of AI services that the transition from theory to practical application has already occurred.
She said that neural networks are used to automate routine operations. AI helps scientists in fundamental and applied science. Lemyakina believes that domestic researchers need safe and convenient AI tools.
