It was proposed in Russia to resume full-scale production of the legendary UAZ-469 car for the military. This initiative was put forward by Airat Gibatdinov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Science and a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
Airat Gibatdinov emphasized that these cars have been tested since Soviet times. They are characterized by mobility and maneuverability.
The simplicity of design, inexpensive production and the possibility of repair in the field have a special advantage.
Airat Gibatdinov stated that a separate advantage of the car is its tent design. It can be removed in a few minutes, opening up the possibility of maneuverability for the military.
The UAZ "Hunter" is an analogue of the UAZ-469 on the Russian market. But the production of these cars is limited to small batches.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a new tactical all-terrain vehicle "Niva-Ulan" for the military was developed in Russia.
