In February, the Russian manufacturer KamAZ released 20 KamAZ-54901 gas-powered trucks. This year, the company plans to send about 700 of these trucks to dealers.
KamAZ is the leading Russian manufacturer of cars and buses running on methane, and a model using liquefied natural gas is also represented in the new K5 line of trucks.
Production of KamAZ-54901 began in September 2024. Last year, 200 trucks rolled off the assembly line.

- KamAZ P6 gas engine with 460 hp
- Automatic transmission
- Two cryogenic tanks (for 1060 liters of liquefied natural gas)
- New sanction-resistant component base
