The heavy truck manufacturer MAZ-MAN is transitioning from purchasing MAZ cabs to its own production. The company has started producing cabs based on Chinese sets of steel panels, which arrive at the plant as welding kits. The panels then undergo a full cycle of processing - assembly, welding, painting, and final preparation - directly at MAZ-MAN's production facilities in Minsk.
The new cabs are already being used on serial models of heavy equipment. They were received by: the MAZ-MAN 754459 8×4 dump truck, as well as the MAZ-MAN 646459 6×6 and MAZ-MAN 747459 8×8 all-wheel drive tractor units.
The transition to in-house production allows the company to optimize costs, reduce dependence on third-party suppliers, and flexibly modernize cabs to meet new market requirements.
The company notes that the use of Chinese-made steel panels provides the necessary balance between price and quality. At the same time, key technological operations are performed in Belarus, which makes it possible to control welding standards, structural geometry, and the quality of protective coatings.
It is planned that the localization of cabs will become a stage in expanding MAZ-MAN's production cooperation and will accelerate the development of promising models of heavy equipment.
