At the Dubai Airshow 2025, the Russian Su-57 fighter and the American F-35 were on the same site and actually demonstrated their capabilities face to face. Part of the program was captured on video,the footage appeared online.
They show elements of aerobatics by the Lockheed Martin F-35 and the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter. Both aircraft presented dynamic programs emphasizing their maneuverability and operation in modern combat scenarios.
The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, noted that the Russian machine is in no way inferior to the American counterpart.
The fifth-generation Su-57 fighter is not inferior in quality to the F-35 counterpart. The American aircraft, by the way, is much more expensive than ours. At the same time, Russia does not have the task of replacing the F-35 on the external market.
The simultaneous participation of the two machines became a rare moment allowing aviation specialists to observe the features of the US and Russian concepts in one context - from performing aerobatics to the subtleties of energetic maneuvers and the use of controlled thrust vectoring.
