The development of the "Dontech" unmanned tractor is approaching a new stage. The machine's control system will be switched from a control panel to automated remote piloting along a given trajectory. This was reported in the press service of the Don State Technical University (DSTU).
Based on the electric tractor, it is also planned to expand the range of developed equipment with a capacity of up to 150 kW.
A line of different capacities up to 150 kW is planned, as well as machines of different designs - for viticulture, for working on steep slopes and special machines for working in swampy areas, in the Arctic zone, as well as explosion-proof machines for demining.
Scientists are also working on improving the hybrid power plant to increase its reliability and traction performance.
The tractor's electric motor has a nominal power of 60 kW (81 hp) and a maximum power of 74.6 kW (101.4 hp). The battery system can store 50 kWh of energy. This allows class 1.4 tractors to effectively perform a variety of tasks even in difficult road conditions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the most powerful agricultural tractor in Russia, Rostselmash 3580, was shown on video.
