Will the Russian clone of the supersonic Onyx, the BrahMos missile, be turned against China? Three more countries are on the way

No air defense system in the world can stop the missile

India is considering supplying the supersonic BrahMos missile to a number of countries to restore anti-ship parity with China. Engineers have tested an air-launched version and improved the ammunition control system.

It is known that BrahMos deliveries have already begun to the Philippines. India also plans to transfer missiles to Malaysia and Indonesia, and a variant with Vietnam is not excluded.

Perhaps, there is even a kind of "missile alliance of anti-ship friendship" against China being formed here.

At the same time, the BrahMos missile is being actively developed. An air-launched version has already been tested and the control system has been improved. It can now hit not only ships, but also ground targets.

Presumably, the capabilities of BrahMos allow it to bypass all existing air defense systems (air defense).

As a reminder, the BrahMos missile was originally developed in a ship-based version based on the Russian P-800 Onyx. The missile is capable of developing a speed of 2.5 to 2.8 M, that is, 2.5-2.8 times faster than the speed of sound.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the capacity of the manufacturer of Project 22350 combat frigates will increase 15 times.
