The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has restored the increased discount under the preferential leasing program. It was first launched in September.
This step by officials is aimed at supporting the market for light commercial vehicles. The discount can reach one million rubles, but its effect will be limited in time.
The standard discount was 10% of the price of Russian commercial vehicles, but no more than 500 thousand rubles. From November 14 to the end of 2025, its size increased to 20%, which will save up to one million rubles.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade also introduced a benefit for the purchase of commercial vehicles manufactured after October 1, 2024. This refers to trucks and buses of various categories.
In October, sales of light commercial vehicles decreased by 30% compared to last year, and for ten months the fall amounted to 23%. In 2025, almost 90% of the vehicles sold in this segment came from Russian factories, the main manufacturers were Lada, GAZ, UAZ and Sollers.
