At the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2025, "Promteh" company presented a new development — the all-terrain van "Kapitan 4x4", positioned as an alternative to the usual UAZ vehicles.
The model is based on the Chinese HuangHai pickup truck, complemented by an original body — a frame-panel construction developed in Russia.
Unlike most cars focused on functionality, "Kapitan" offers a spacious interior with a 5+1 seat configuration, emphasizing comfort for passengers.
A methane-powered version was demonstrated at the exhibition. The gas equipment is provided by the Togliatti-based company "ATS", which has experience in developing systems for Lada Vesta CNG and Largus CNG.
Despite the limited data about the car, the presence of a 2.5-liter power unit, developing 143 hp, and a six-speed manual transmission has already been confirmed.
Earlier www1.ru reported that dealers revealed the price list for the new Russian minibus Sollers SP7.
