At the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2025, the company "Promteh" presented a new development - the all-terrain van "Kapitan 4x4", positioned as an alternative to the usual UAZs.
The model is based on the Chinese HuangHai pickup truck, supplemented by an original body - a frame-panel structure developed in Russia.
Unlike most cars focused on functionality, the "Kapitan" offers a spacious interior with a 5+1 seat configuration, emphasizing passenger comfort.
A methane-powered version was demonstrated at the exhibition. The gas equipment is provided by the Togliatti company "ATS", which has experience in developing systems for Lada Vesta CNG and Largus CNG.
Despite the limited data about the car, the presence of a 2.5-liter power unit developing 143 hp and a six-speed manual transmission has already been confirmed.
Earlierwww1.ru reported thatdealers revealed the price list for the new Russian minibus Sollers SP7.
