Unit 3 of Rostov NPP Shut Down for Scheduled Maintenance

Experts will modernize the equipment

Rostov Nuclear Power Plant has disconnected power unit 3 from the grid for scheduled maintenance, the plant's press service reported.

Specialists will unload fuel from the reactor core and carry out the necessary work to restore and modernize the equipment scheme.

An important aspect of the repair will be the modernization of the power supply scheme for 0.4 kV sections and the emergency power supply system. The activities are aimed at maintaining the reliable operation of the plant and the safe generation of electricity. The repair work will also affect the main equipment and all three safety systems of the power unit.

Currently, all other power units are operating according to the established schedule, ensuring a stable energy supply to the region. The shutdown of the third unit is intended to extend the service life of the equipment and increase its reliability.
