Footage has emerged online showing soldiers of the guards tank brigade of the "Vostok" group of forces demonstrating the process of manufacturing and installing the "Hedgehog" additional protection system for T-80BV tanks.
The footage shows soldiers cutting metal cables, assembling them into bundles, and attaching them to the tank's hull. This design is intended to increase the vehicle's resistance to being hit by drones and shaped-charge munitions.
According to the project participants, the creation of such systems is carried out by the crews themselves and technical units, who are constantly improving the protection of armored vehicles based on experience.
Soldiers note that the "Hedgehog" can be quickly installed and, if necessary, damaged elements can be replaced directly in the field.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that ZRPK "Pantsir-S" can shoot down drones measuring 30 by 30 cm.
