There is a decline in interest in Chinese cars in Russia. According to the "Autostat" agency, from January to October 2025, sales of such cars decreased by 27.3%.
Over ten months, 569.9 thousand Chinese cars were sold in the country. Among the brands, Haval remains the leader, although its popularity has fallen by 15%. Chery (down 29%), Geely (down 41%), and Changan (down 39%) also made it into the top 5. The only brand with a positive result was Jetour, with sales of such cars increasing by 4%.
The most popular models were crossovers: Haval Jolion, Geely Monjaro, Haval M6, Changan Uni-S and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max. It is noteworthy that none of the models showed growth: the drop in sales ranged from 13% to 59%.
Haval Jolion, produced in Russia, became the most popular foreign car in October, but its sales decreased by 19% compared to last year. The Geely Monjaro model was previously considered the most popular, but its price is expected to increase after the change in the recycling fee, which will come into force on December 1.
