Solar activity has once again attracted the attention of scientists: two powerful X-class flares have been recorded on the Sun in the last 24 hours. This was reported by the Astroverts Scientific Travel Club.
According to experts, the latest flare with a power of X1.2 occurred on the very edge of the solar disk. Due to the location of the active region, the possible coronal mass ejection (CME) will not affect the Earth.
The source of the flare is not related to the known group №4274, which indicates the formation of a new active region. Scientists predict that in a week this region will be in the center of the solar disk.
