«Ростелеком» начал серийное производство роутеров с поддержкой Wi-Fi 6 в Москве

The Electra F30AX model is manufactured at the Electra plant

Rostelecom has started mass production of routers supporting Wi-Fi 6. Their assembly is organized in Moscow at the facilities of the Electra enterprise, which belongs to Rostelecom. It is expected that up to 150 thousand units of products will be produced per month.

The first model presented was the Electra F30AX router. It is equipped with 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of built-in flash memory, as well as one WAN port and three LAN ports. The device supports 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, and also operates in Mesh network mode.

The Electra plant implements a full production cycle: from mounting electronic components and installing software to calibrating Wi-Fi and GPON, testing and packaging.

The software is developed by Russian specialists, but not all hardware components are domestic. Rostelecom confirmed that the AX3000 chip comes from China, as similar microcircuits are not produced in Russia.

Currently, new routers are available exclusively for Rostelecom home Internet customers. The devices are installed for both new and existing subscribers. Routers are not yet available for open sale, and the cost of the Electra F30AX model remains unknown.

Wi-Fi routers of the sixth generation have already been installed for the first customers and will become the standard for Rostelecom's home Internet, meeting the growing needs of users for years to come.
