At a presentation at the Kalashnikov shooting center in Patriot Park, Dmitry Lebedev, the leading designer of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, announced that the Lebedev pistol line (PLC, MPL, MPL-1) is regularly improved based on feedback from military personnel using the weapons on combat duty.
At the event, representatives from federal and industry media were able to assess the combat capabilities of the samples. Evgeny Reznikov, a master of sports of international class, performed exercises in rapid-fire and long-range shooting from PLC, MPL, and MPL-1 pistols. As an illustration of the combat characteristics, the penetrating ability was demonstrated - during the demonstration, a shot was fired that pierced a standard NATO bulletproof helmet.
According to Lebedev, the improvements are made promptly and take into account the comments of real users: from ergonomics to compatibility with instrument equipment and high-capacity magazines.
Factory representatives note that the demonstrations serve a dual function: they serve to test technical solutions and simultaneously inform potential customers about the products.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that theFagot anti-tank missile system has been retrofitted with a remote control system and increased target accuracy to 92%.
