The newest Burevestnik cruise missile, which has unlimited range, can be launched from launchers designed for other missiles. This was announced by Alexander Stepanov, a military expert at the Institute of Law and National Security of the RANEPA.
The versatility of Russian launchers allows them to be adapted to almost any modern standard weapons. For example, launchers that are used for Iskander can be modernized and adapted in an operational mode for launching alternative high-precision missiles, including the Burevestnik. Similarly, the Oreshnik platform can be used, which can also act as a universal launch modular unit.
According to the expert, the versatility and modularity of Russian launch platforms will theoretically ensure the possibility of placing transport and launch containers on carriers of any type, including surface ships.
Stepanov added that when developing new high-precision complexes, Russian engineers relied on the principles of the Soviet engineering school, which provides for maximum potential for modernization of the entire product line.
Stepanov also stated that thanks to its mobility, the Burevestnik canbe deployed in any part of the world.
Earlier www1.ru reported thattests of the Arbalet FPV drone with an AKS-74U assault rifle were shown on video.
