The Social Treasury of Moscow has begun using an intelligent system to verify documents for housing and utility subsidies, according to Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
According to Rakova, the new system reduces application processing time from two days to one hour. Muscovites immediately receive notifications in their personal account on the mos.ru portal with information on the status of the application and recommendations for finalizing documents. In the future, the use of AI tools is planned to be expanded to increase the speed and efficiency of providing support measures.
The artificial intelligence-based system analyzes documents received through the portal, including electronic files and scans of handwritten texts. It checks applications for completeness and compliance with requirements, and if the check is successful, it forms a preliminary positive decision.
In the future, AI will be used at all stages of providing subsidies and will gradually cover other social services. According to the press service, this will halve the time for providing support measures by 2030.
The Social Treasury of Moscow has been a single center for processing applications from residents of the capital since January 1, 2024, and the first regional operator of social support measures in the country.
