Poland intercepts Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea: no evidence of airspace violation

Russian Aerospace Forces military aircraft have repeatedly stated that they do not violate the airspace of other states

The Polish Air Force (PAF) allegedly managed to intercept a Russian Il-20 aircraft over the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Polish Armed Forces.

The operational command clarified that the incident occurred on October 28.

Let us add that the Polish command did not provide any evidence of even visual identification of the domestic reconnaissance aircraft. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has repeatedly emphasized that military aviation carries out all flights in strict accordance with international air borders.

Il-20 is a complex reconnaissance aircraft with a complex of side-looking radar station, radio intelligence and radio interception stations, and photographic equipment. The aircraft was produced from 1968 to 1976, but the vessel is still in service.
