"Shishiga" Reborn as "Gusar": New Army Buggy Created in Russia

Military vehicle designed for small reconnaissance groups

A new heavy buggy "Gusar" has been developed in Russia on the chassis of the legendary GAZ-66 truck, known by the army nickname "Shishiga". The first photos of the car were shown by the Telegram channel "Sith's Corner".

The footage shows that the "Gusar" has an open body without a roof and doors. Thanks to this solution, maximum visibility is possible, and fighters will be able to react more quickly to threats, including drone attacks.

The two-axle buggy is designed to carry several people and light cargo. The car inherited a reliable all-wheel drive transmission and high cross-country ability from the basic GAZ-66. The "Gusar" is capable of overcoming fords up to 0.8 meters deep and withstanding loads of up to 2 tons.

Under the hood is a V8 gasoline engine with a capacity of about 130 hp, like the classic "Shishiga". The project was developed specifically for the needs of assault and reconnaissance units that require fast, light and unpretentious transport.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the designer spoke about the trick of the new "Tsar Bomb" with a planning module and GPS.
