The Schwabe Holding (part of Rostec State Corporation) has for the first time demonstrated a mobile laser complex for countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported in the press service of the state corporation.
The laser complex is capable of hitting several fast-moving UAVs of various types, including small FPV drones, within a minute. At the same time, power lasers are safe for use near civilian infrastructure.
The laser complex includes a power laser with air cooling and an optoelectronic system for detecting and tracking targets. It operates on on-board batteries, which can be recharged from external sources.
The complex is located on a high- проходимости truck, providing high mobility and the ability to quickly deploy in any conditions.
The novelty can function as an independent means for combating drones or be integrated into echeloned air defense systems. In the latter case, target designation sources can be supplemented with radar and acoustic stations to increase the target detection range. The control module can also be remote.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Posokh laser UAV counteraction system will be improved.
