The laser anti-drone system (Project Posokh), after refinement, will be able to destroy FPV drones in three seconds from the moment the object is detected until its complete elimination. This was announced by Ivan Khovansky, director of the developing company LazerBuzz.
From the detection of the object to its complete destruction, you need to be in time for three seconds. As for the working distance, for laser systems that can be made compact, it is 600-700 m. The speed of destruction in three seconds is due to the fact that the worst-case scenario of destruction - is the burning of the drone's battery.
According to Ivan Khovansky, if the drone's battery ignites upon impact, there will be enough energy for the drone to fly another 300 meters. The laser will completely disable the battery.
Testing of the laser anti-UAV system is planned and will take place in the near future. In September, LazerBuzz announced the successfultesting by the military of a laser system for remote demining of explosives.
