Engineers at the Tomsk Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (NIIPP, part of the Rosel holding) have developed an intelligent monitoring and control system for navigation lights. The product will improve the safety of ship traffic on rivers, according to the Rostec press service.
The complex includes all-round navigation lights (КНО) and a base station for receiving and transmitting data to the dispatcher's console. The received information is displayed as a map, which marks ship and shore aids to navigation (equipment for navigation, ship control, communication and security). The operator can remotely change the parameters of the КНО.
Features of the navigation lights monitoring and control system:
- Resistant to environmental influences
- Powered by a solar panel
- Autonomous operation throughout the navigation season
- Equipped with sensors to collect information about the environment
The NIIPP development is included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The Rosel holding has begun mass production of systems.
