Engineers at the Tomsk Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (NIIPP, part of the Rosel holding) have developed an intelligent monitoring and control system for navigation lights. The product will improve the safety of ship traffic on rivers, the Rostec press service reported.
The complex includes all-round navigation lights (KNO) and a base station for receiving and transmitting data to the dispatcher's console. The received information is displayed as a map, which marks ship and shore aids to navigation (equipment for navigation, ship control, communication and security). The operator can remotely change the parameters of the KNO.
Features of the navigation light monitoring and control system:
- Resistant to environmental influences
- Powered by a solar battery
- Autonomous operation throughout the navigation season
- Equipped with sensors to collect information about the environment
The NIIPP development is included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The Rosel holding has launched mass production of systems.
