The cruises will take place in the White Sea through Arkhangelsk and the Solovetsky Islands, with some routes including the village of Umba in the Murmansk region. As part of the «Archipelago of History and Secrets» routes, four cruises lasting eight to nine days are planned, and the fifth route, the «Pomor Ring», will take 15 days.

Initially, the launch of the first cruise on the «Nikolay Zharkov» motor ship was planned for this year, but the dates were postponed to the summer of 2026 due to delays in putting the vessel into operation. The delays were due to the need to redesign the vessel and difficulties with the supply of component equipment against the background of current sanctions.

The «Nikolay Zharkov» motor ship is the lead vessel of project 00840 «Karelia». It was launched on July 11, 2025, at the «Krasnoye Sormovo» plant in Nizhny Novgorod.

The vessel is designed for 183 passengers, its length is 131 meters, its width is 13.8 meters, and its speed is up to 22 km/h.
