Shipbuilders of the Nizhny Novgorod plant "Krasnoye Sormovo" launched the cruise ship "Nikolai Zharkov" of Project 00840 "Karelia". The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
We expect that the ship will be commissioned before the end of the year in order to take tourist routes next spring.
According to Manturov, 2 more similar ships need to be handed over to the customer within 3 years. Thus, "Krasnoye Sormovo" will become a key shipyard where modern mixed-navigation cruise liners "river-sea" are built.
"Nikolai Zharkov" is designed for 180 passengers. The ship is equipped with 30 "Standard" cabins, 1 cabin for people with disabilities, 44 "Standard" cabins with a balcony; 10 "Deluxe" cabins and 2 "Grand Suite" cabins. On board the ship there is a heated pool, SPA area, steam room and a restaurant with panoramic glazing.
