The UMG Group of Companies has launched serial production of the first Russian snow grooming machine (snow groomer) model RT-6 based on CJSC "Chelyabinsk Construction and Road Machines" (CSDM).
This versatile equipment is designed for use in ski resorts and in harsh climatic conditions, including Arctic regions.
The project was implemented as part of the import substitution strategy with adaptation to Russian standards. The weight of the snow groomer is 6.3 tons, it is equipped with a 6-cylinder YaMZ-536 engine with a capacity of 313 horsepower. The fuel tank has a volume of 250 liters.
The snow groomer develops a transport speed of up to 24 kilometers per hour. The milling speed of the machine reaches 16 kilometers per hour. The model can operate on slopes up to 35°. This allows the RT-6 to be used not only on ski and biathlon tracks, but also on ski slopes.
An experienced sample of the snow groomer was tested at a ski base in the city of Korkino, Chelyabinsk region. The machine worked for 600 hours without deviations from the specified parameters.
The manufacturer has started production of the first batch of special equipment consisting of eight units.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the new RT-6 snow groomer was shown live for the first time.
