The Gislaved tire plant (formerly Bridgestone) has produced its millionth tire since its relaunch in the fall of 2024. The anniversary tire is the Gislaved SpikeControl winter studded model, developed specifically for Russian roads.
The plant in Ulyanovsk operated in test mode until March 2025, after which it fully switched to industrial production. By the end of this year, the plant plans to produce 1.2 million tires.
The company's product range includes three lines: the Cordiant Run Tour summer tire, as well as the Cordiant SNO-MAX 7000 and Gislaved SpikeControl winter tires. In total, two brands are represented in 147 sizes. Gislaved is positioned as a premium brand, and Cordiant as a mid-price segment brand.
Work on expanding the size range and increasing production capacity continues jointly with the Intyre Scientific and Technical Center. The plant resumed operations after approximately three years of downtime, which allowed not only to update production, but also to adapt technologies to modern market requirements and Russian road conditions.
