Редкую комету Леммон смогут увидеть жители Приморья в конце октября

The comet will next appear in the sky above Earth in 1150 years

Residents of Primorsky Krai and other regions of Russia will be able to observe a rare astronomical phenomenon — Comet Lemmon, which will approach the Earth at a minimum distance closer to the end of October.

The comet's orbital period around the Sun is about 1350 years. After its close approach to the Sun in November 2025, its orbital period will change, and its next appearance in the sky above Earth is expected only in 1150 years.

The best viewing conditions will occur between October 31 and November 2. After November 10, the celestial guest will begin to rapidly move away and fade, so there are only a few days to observe it.

According to astronomers, it can be seen without telescopes or binoculars in clear weather.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Skif-D demonstrator satellite became the first in orbit at 8,070 km.
