Alexander Dyukov, General Director of Gazprom Neft, announced the company's plans to develop technologies for the development of deeper formations. We are talking about hard-to-recover reserves of the Achimov and Tyumen oil and gas formations, which are characterized by a complex geological structure.
We have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Energy on the development of technologies in the field of drilling and production.
For the further development of the Achimov and Tyumen formations, which are characterized by a high content of hydrocarbons, but low filtration and capacity properties and a high degree of water saturation, as well as complicated by the depth of the reserves, traditional methods of production are not enough.
One of the most important aspects of developing new methods of oil production from such formations is profitability, in which further work would be appropriate. This requires new technologies, materials, equipment and software that are not currently available in the world.
