At the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, work is in full swing to install a new modern press line for stamping parts for pickups and the future Sollers SUV, and in the future, for the UAZ model range as well.
Two presses with a force of 1000 tons-force each are already ready, and even more powerful presses are being installed, as well as a 170-meter metal waste collection system. In total, six modern robots will work on the automated line, and one operator will be able to control the new presses.
The total investment in the project amounted to 1.1 billion rubles, of which 0.8 billion rubles is attracted in the form of a loan from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF).
In the future, this line will be able to produce up to 20,000 body kits per year.
