In difficult weather conditions, "Mi-8" helicopters performed regular flights between the vessel and the shore, delivering equipment, fuel, winter food supplies, ATVs, and snowmobiles to remote stations.

The "Mikhail Somov" delivered supplies to hard-to-reach stations off the coast of Chukotka, such as Ambarcik, Ayon, Valkarkai.

The farthest point of the "Mikhail Somov" route was Wrangel Island.
