The ship is capable of operating at depths of up to 2000 meters and performing a wide range of tasks

The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has announced the creation of a new conceptual project — the "Sprut" vessel, designed for underwater technical operations in the Arctic seas. The ship is capable of operating at depths of up to 2000 meters and performing a wide range of tasks. This was reported by the USC press service.

The "Sprut" has an ice class of Arc-5 and is designed to service underwater oilfield equipment, inspect and repair underwater parts of marine structures and pipelines in the Arctic seas. It allows for the installation of structures on the seabed, the installation of underwater equipment, conducting research, engineering-geological and environmental surveys, as well as performing auxiliary hydrometeorological observations. In addition, the vessel can participate in operations to assist distressed submarines.

As equipment, the "Sprut" is provided in several configuration options — for working with manned and unmanned underwater vehicles, as well as with a deep-sea diving complex (GVK) with a bell, providing divers with work at a depth of up to 500 meters.

The vessel is designed to accommodate 42 specialists (and up to 60 — in the version with GVK) and 36 crew members. The length of the vessel is 108.5 meters, the width is about 18 meters, and the speed is up to 15 knots. The cruising range is at least 6000 miles, and the autonomy in terms of food and fresh water is up to 40 days.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the first prototype of the modernized Yak-130M aircraft was sent for ground and flight tests.
