A new magnetic storm has begun on Earth. This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the IKI and ISZF.
The storm level is low — between G1 and G2.
It (the magnetic storm) looks episodic so far, that is, it will most likely end soon. And, in general, the Earth's magnetic field is holding up well.
Astronomers also reported that strong flares have resumed on the Sun, contrary to forecasts.
The two fires currently burning in the center of the solar disk are two active centers, each approximately 150 thousand km in size (more than 10 Earth diameters). Each burst is a flare of level C or M (there are no higher X scores yet).
The response of geomagnetic indices will come from Wednesday or Thursday.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Earth passed the peak of the magnetic storm, but the threat of new disturbances remains.
