Uralvagonzavod Concern (UVZ, part of Rostec) received over 2,000 unique proposals for a new name for the Terminator tank support fighting vehicle (BMPT) during a public vote. This was announced by the company's press service.
Letters with proposals came from China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, India, Egypt, Vietnam, Hungary, Cuba, and even Great Britain.
The flow of proposals does not stop, despite the expiration of the established deadlines. UVZ has already received more than 10,000 letters with proposals for renaming the BMPT, each of which contains from one to several hundred or more options.
All the options are so unusual that it is difficult to single out favorites. The names are very diverse - military leaders, Russian heroes, historical figures, landmarks, cities, animals, birds, flowers, trees, various types of weapons, and representatives of various branches of the military - from rifleman to dragoon. Many votes for preserving "Terminator".
The company promised that the voting will take place, and its dates will be announced in the officialTelegram channel of Uralvagonzavod.
