Combat tests of the new domestic anti-drone short-range man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) "Hermes" will begin before the end of 2025. This was reported by the developer company NPO "Kaysant".
Currently, engineers are conducting internal tests, and the plans include seeing the complex in real combat conditions.
In the next couple of months, before the end of the year, combat tests will begin.
At the same time, the company did not report the date of mass production of the new product.
The relatively small weight of 1.2 kg will be a good help for soldiers of infantry units. The target acquisition range is 500 m, the complex uses VOG-25 as a warhead. Also, the "Hermes" implemented a guidance system based on machine vision.
